Saturday, June 28th 1 PM This walk explores the Revolutionary War history of Van Cortlandt Park with a guided walking tour and optional hike. First, enjoy a 1-mile guided walk through the museum and park. Then, for those ready to keep going, continue on a 1.5-mile hike exploring the area around the park to visit little-known places that played in a role in the Revolution. |

Join Misty Cook Davids—herbalist, cultural consultant, and member of the Stockbridge-Munsee Community—for a guided walk through the historic grounds of the Van Cortlandt House Museum. Learn to identify natural medicines growing in the landscape around us and explore the plants cultivated in our garden. Misty will share the traditional knowledge behind these medicines, including their history, methods of gathering, drying, preservation, and use. Misty is the author of Medicine Generations: Natural Native American Medicines. This event is FREE, but registration is suggested as space is limited. |
